Hey, I really like ur style and I was wondering how u sort of came into it/developed it? It's kind of a weird question I guess but I'm curious

Ah no its more than fine I just hope i can explain it to you ha.

Well originally I would just draw humans ( horribly mind you ) for 3-4 years and recently about 2 years ago i’ve join the so called furry fandom. At first I had no idea how to go about drawing ferals or horses even and struggled a lot with poses and how to draw paws or even how to draw the multiple legs.

I took inspiration from a bunch of artist on deviantart such as phloxebutt, witchpaws, oakie and a ton more taking little aspects from there styles it slowly started to mold my style itself I wanted to develop a style more like there’s in general clearly it wasn’t going to be the same. it didn’t really turn out the way i wanted it at first but I slowly started off my style by trying to some what duplicate there’s I found a style i was happy with and was easy for me. From there I kinda just tried my best to stick with the style since my style changes constantly and it always annoyed me that I couldn’t draw the same style twice but so far I think i’ve done alright! as for the change in lines I used to use thin lines mostly because I thought it looked cleaner but as i grew into my new style the lines got thicker and more easier to colour now its just preferred for me to use larger brush sizes on my canvas. I never used to colour my lines either but I really loved kriscastles work they seem to colour there lines and i just thought it looked really appealing and started to try doing it . Once I did I find it hard not to colour my lines I think it give my work a lot more colour and just detail in general!

So my style was born from trying to be more like my inspirations. I adjusted my art to my inspirations and in the process I found my style as for now i’ve adjusted my art so much that It’s just become my one of a kind style and i’m happy with it, Though it will always be changing little by little!

I hope that explains it I was gonna add pictures but thought that might bore you a little!

My advice to you is that you use your inspirations in art to fuel you, to drive you to want to make art like them and you’ll find yourself along the way!
